Council Meeting

That the Council of the Township of North Glengarry accepts the agenda of the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday April 12, 2021.

That the minutes of the following meetings be adopted as circulated. Regular Meeting of Council - March 22, 2021 Special Meeting of Council - March 27, 2021

THAT the Council for the Township of North Glengarry receives the Staff Report No. CS-2021-09; and THAT Council approves the recommendation from the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee for the Community Improvement Plan Project at 152 Main Street South, Alexandria, Ontario, as submitted by the property owner, Heinz Kaswurm . Program C – Commercial Signage grant representing a matching grant of 50% up to a maximum of $191.35 ; Program C – Commercial Awning grant representing a matching grant of 50% up to a maximum of $2,318.00; and Program C – Civic Address Grant representing one civic sign provided by the municipality as part of its civic sign program. Total Grants: $2,509.35 Conditional to the following: Acquittal of the property tax bill Closing of the building permit for the bathroom Removal of the blank sign on the property façade

THAT Council receives Staff Report No. CS 2021-10; and THAT Council directs staff to add the property located at 101 Centre Street in Alexandria, Ontario K0C 1A0 , as recommended by the Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee, to the Municipal Register as a non-designated property of cultural heritage value and/or interest.

THAT Council of the Township of North Glengarry adopts Bylaw 13-2021 being a bylaw to adopt the tax rates for the year 2021; and That By-law 13-2021 be read a first, second, third time and enacted in Open Council this 12th day of April, 2021.

THAT Council approves the revised Release of Tax Information and Property Tax Collection policies.

THAT Council of the Township of North Glengarry award the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Condition Assessment of Buildings RFP ADM2021-01 to UL Business Solutions Canada Inc. in the amount of $48,190.00 plus HST; and Furthermore, that the Council of the Township of North Glengarry approves a transfer from working reserves in the amount of $30,000 to top up the budgeted amount.

THAT Council of the Township of North Glengarry receives Staff Report No. FD 2021-04; AND that Council approves the purchase of technology upgrades for training to the upset limit of $7,000 to be funded through the Fire Safety Grant.

THAT the Council of the Township of North Glengarry receives the items from the consent agenda for information purposes only.

That we return to the Regular Meeting of Council at 9:00 p.m.

That the Council of the Township of North Glengarry receive By-law 14-2021; and That Council adopt by-law 14-2021 being a by-law to adopt, confirm and ratify matters dealt with by Resolution and that By-law 14-2021 be read a first, second, third time and enacted in Open Council this12th day of April, 2021.
